Day One: Venture Capital Takeover and the Incoming Administration
Day One of the incoming administration begins the transformation of America from a democracy backed by the dollar to a venture-capital backed state that runs on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. America becomes a puppet state controlled by tech billionaires.
Mass firing of government employees opens the total destruction of administrative and regulatory bodies. This will particularly focus on the Department of Education, the SEC and the FDA, paving the way to unregulated crypto and AI development, as well as functionally unregulated clinical trials for venture capital biotech startups. Regulations for technology development and implementation are effectively gone, to be codified as soon as possible.
Thousands of highly trained and highly organized venture capitalist operatives, startups and tech executives are appointed or hired to fill these positions. This will secure their hold on the government and establish choke holds in every part of the administrative state, and put venture capital in command of the government.
Efforts to curtail union power explode so workers across fields are unable to resist, with SAG-AFTRA an ongoing target along manufacturing, education and gig workers.
All regulations on cryptocurrency, including its banks, loans programs, speculative assets and “meme coins” are effectively suspended. This means a rogue financial system with significantly less regulation or oversight than Wall Street. Crypto scams and get rich schemes will bankrupt many Americans, and the growth of cryptocurrency will cause at least a 10x increase in the financial power of the tech class.
Government services cut, including disability benefits, labor protections, disaster relief, welfare and financial benefits. This will produce economic hardship for millions of people and leave families and children impoverished without support. A key component of economic shock therapy, this will pave the way to additional adoption of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
Federal funding of non-profits, NGOs and grants is stopped. This will end key research programs, social justice efforts, employment of academics and sociologists, independent media production, and the balance of for-profit entities. Many of these will be co-opted by technology mega-corps.
Massive lawsuits filed to secure venture capital power and prevent opposition. Key lawsuits will include attacks on liberal institutions with the specific goal of destroying opposition and democratic processes. Likely targets include media companies that pulled out of advertising on X, journalists and activists that have been critical of tech, schools and companies with DEI programs, etc.
War strategy is moved towards the venture capital weapons build-out, its weapons infrastructure and its military leaders. Since the last tech bubble, venture capitalists have built out dozens of weapons startups that have been battle-tested in Ukraine and Gaza. Their major weapons company, Anduril, is designed to compete with Lockheed and Raytheon. Major shifts in contracts, and the appointing of venture capital military leaders, will commence. Anduril has laid out its plans for perpetual, accelerated cold war with China in the book The Kill Chain. Global tensions will rise and venture capital will seek additional world conflict to gain returns on investment.
Massive project to upgrade the police with venture capital technologies, bolstering the police in anticipation of protests by teachers, retirees, government employees, students and the poor. Venture capitalists have developed a new age of surveillance and weapons leveraging AI, new surveillance systems, predictive technologies, drones, autonomous policing robots and vehicles. They will be used against the masses.
Orders for massive public works projects benefiting venture capital begin. This includes a large-scale datacenter effort, nuclear energy programs, new unregulated zones for the tech class to build new “billionaire” cities, perform medical experiments, and engage in accelerated AI development. Funded in large part with taxpayer money, but only benefiting the tech class, this will result in a massive upward wealth transfer.
Ultimately, Day One is the start of our country being taken over by tech billionaires and venture capitalists, with America eventually functioning in totality as venture capital, startups and the tech industry do. This is a new paradigm for governance, and the state, that will only result in more of the labor abuses, wealth inequality, impoverishment of cities, corruption and harm to the public that we have seen across Silicon Valley already.
Still, many factors can intervene in these developments. Political resistance from across the aisles, state and international resistance, mass protest, student organization, investigative journalism and labor movements can be key to a different future.
